Caring for a Custom-Framed Heirloom

• Spray glass cleaner onto a soft cloth – never directly onto glass or Acrylite®.
• Use a soft cloth to dust Acrylite surfaces and custom frame finishes. Paper towels may scratch delicate surfaces.
• Examine back paper dust covers for small tears through which damaging insects and dust particles may enter.
• Support picture wire on two wall hooks to distribute stress.
• Choose proper hanging hardware, according to weight of the framed piece and composition of wall material.
• Hang custom framed artwork away from:

  - Heat sources (fireplaces, radiators, space heaters, etc.)

  - Ultraviolet light sources (sunlight, direct fluorescent lighting)

  - Outside walls (due to changing humidity)
